Because of very cold mornings (often below freezing), Rock Creek has seen its streamflow drop from over 2000 cfs to almost half that over the past five days. This is going to leave a narrow window for some good fishing until the next heat wave and spike in the water level. Keep an eye on the USGS chart for a day or two of level streamflows, and you’ll know it’s a good time to come out and fish the creek.
